Seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starter for a technically sophisticated and challenging position. Candidate will be responsible for developing software for the U.S. Navy’s next generation combat system. Position involves developing and enhancing an internationally deployed combat management system for the U.S. Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship. The combat system software developer will be working developing code for an open system, OMG-DDS complaint system built on state of the art COTS equipment. Software development will include designing, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and verification and validation testing. Candidate will develop and implement advanced algorithms used in real-time systems. The ability to implement algorithms efficiently and the ability to understand and maximize the computing and I/O resources of the hardware platform are essential. This is not an IT/database application/transaction processing type position. Work will include the development of new code and the maintenance of existing code. Candidate will plan and organize tasking for team members, monitor the progress and quality of team member's work product, and provide technical support and assistance to junior team members. Candidate may be required to take a test to verify programming skills. Position involves a 6 to 12 month intensive training. Career advancement possibilities limited only by your desire. Domestic and International travel will be required at 25% to 50%. |

Multiple
full time positions exist for Systems Engineers at our client in
Northern NJ. Positions exist for mid-level and senior level
talent. Candidate will apply Robust Systems Engineering
disciplines to the definition, analysis and solution of complex
technical problems involving RADAR electronic countermeasures.
The positions are associated with systems test and
integration support of EW (Electronics Warfare) products. Due
to the nature of the work being a military program , experience must
include adhering to a structured requirements driven product
development processes. Must be able to decompose higher
level requirements into the next lower level (module level, HW and SW).
Must be able to develop test plans and test procedures and
execute the tests. Candidate must have experience and be able
to plan and implement system integration, final system test, platform
integration, government acceptance and flight test. Candidates will
perform risk analyses, modeling and simulation prior to commitment to
detail design.They will collaborate on and oversee the development of
hardware and software modules. Experience with the full life
cycle of product development preferred. DOORS or other
requirements management tool experience preferred.
Simulation/modelling experience preferred. EW
experience is preferred but military electronics experience will be
acceptable. Radar Warning Receiver (RWR), Electronic Counter
Measures (ECM) or RADAR experience also desirable.

Participates in the development, validation and transfer of test methods for new and existing products and processes. Participates in, and leads where appropriate, solving problem sessions activities which involves conventional engineering practice, root cause analyses and the application of risk management principles. Will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate phases of quality engineering work in projects. This role develops Quality Plans for the development and transfer of new products which includes raw material, in process and final product specifications, process and test method qualification, supplier process capability, design validation amp product reliability strategies. Provides support in the area of process mapping and process validation ensuring compliance to the ConvaTec Global Process Validation Policy and Directive. Participates in, and leads where appropriate, risk management activities in support of new product and process development activities, ongoing risk monitoring and change control activities. Actively participates in continuous improvement efforts for existing products, processes and services.

Applicants must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate effective leadership skills. Applicants must be able to provide day-to-day technical support in a manufacturing facility as well as project work to improve safety, quality, and costs. Ensure that production output meets quality specifications required by our customers. Identify, troubleshoot, and develop effective solutions to process operating problems. Develop and implement processes or control mechanisms to improve the overall reliability of unit operations. Identify and develop new processes or process modifications to manufacture new or improved products. Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies related to current or potential manufacturing processes. Applicants must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate effective leadership skills. An individual in this position must be able to effectively interface with others in the organization. Applicants will be responsible for all phases of project management, from conception to construction and startup. Applicants will be responsible for tasks such as requests for funding, preparing RFQs, equipment evaluation, design, selection, and procurement, installation, developing and meeting project schedules, supervision of contractors and craftsmen, start up and de-bottlenecking, and adherence to spending controls. Applicants must be able to identify ad evaluate new technologies related to current processes or for new project installations.
Applicants must possess a BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering degree preferred) and have 5-12 years experience in chemical manufacturing or equivalent. Must be able to demonstrate fundamental engineering skills and the ability to apply them to make process improvements.
